2009 was a special year for Maschinen Musik. Dr. Schmidt's "The Engines of God" made its appearance on the Street Sounds revival compilation Nu Electro Volume 1, and during the opening ceremony of this year's Canada Games, the athletes entered the arena to the sound of T.R.O.'s "Message". But what makes us most proud is the continuing and relentless support by our friends and fans.

With Christmas just around the corner and the end of the year approaching with huge steps, we want to give something back. So as a “"thank you" we offer you this free track by Dr. Schmidt, "Static Discharge", as our Christmas present to you. Crafted with passion and mastered to perfection by Andreas Kauffelt at Schnittstelle/Frankfurt. We hope you like what you hear, and we wish you a marry Christmas and of course a banging new year!
